Sony: Next-Generation Cameras and Software-Defined Broadcast Sony demonstrated a range of professional production ecosystem innovations at IBC 2026. The new HDC R Series system cameras feature 2/3" Global Shutter 3CMOS sensors, 4K imaging, HDR/SDR production capabilities, and enhanced shooting modes tailored for varying lighting conditions. Sony also unveiled the SRG-AS10 and SRG-XS10 PTZ cameras with AI-driven auto-framing features, the new FX5 Cinema Line camera, the DWX Gen4 digital wireless microphone system, and the RM-DP5 / RM-DP7 control solutions for Cinema Line cameras. In the field of IP and software-defined infrastructure, the new MOXELA platform from Sony Group company Nevion drew significant attention. The platform enables low-latency processing and routing of live video, audio, and data signals across local servers as well as private and public cloud environments.
